For Charter Captains & Fishing Guides

Line is a consumable on a working boat. Stop paying retail for it.

You respool more reels in a season than most anglers do in a lifetime, and no client ever asked what brand was on the spool — they only remember whether it held. Bulk spools in the tests you run, pull-tested every batch, shipped duty-paid to your dock.

The captain's problem

Three things every charter and guide operation knows about line

Retail line is designed and priced for the weekend angler who fills a reel once a year. A boat that runs 100+ trips a season is a different customer, and the retail model works against you on every one of them.

Frequency

You respool constantly

Every fray, every wind knot, every big fish that dug into the spool

Bulk turns a repeat purchase into a raw material
  • A dozen reels, respooled several times a season, adds up to thousands of yards
  • Buying that in 150–300 yd retail spools means paying the packaging, the branding and the shop margin every single time
  • Downtime between trips goes to stripping and refilling instead of prep
Brand

Clients don't see the label. They feel the break.

What matters is that the line does the same thing every trip

Consistency is the only spec a paying customer notices
  • A break-off in front of a paying client costs more than any spool ever saved you
  • Batch drift between retail spools means two reels rigged 'the same' don't behave the same
  • You pay a premium for a brand name that adds nothing once the line is on the reel
Supply

Big-brand bulk is an afterthought

The heavy tests you run are the first ones out of stock

Custom bulk in your pound test, made to be stocked
  • Bulk spools from big brands exist to fill a catalogue page — supply of 50, 65, 80 lb bulk is patchy and unpredictable
  • Their bulk price is anchored to the retail spool, not to what the line costs to make
  • When your size is out, you rig with whatever is on the shelf and hope
The respool math

How much line does your boat actually go through?

Move the sliders to your operation. Nobody does this sum until they see it — and then the case for bulk spools makes itself.

Step 2

Get a written quote

Size, length and volume quoted direct and in writing. No dealer account, no minimum beyond one spool.

Step 3

Receive and reorder

In-stock sizes leave in 7 days, duty-paid to your door. Reorder the same spec and get the same line, batch after batch.

Straight answers

Questions captains and guides ask

I run one boat. Will you sell to me?
Yes. Bulk starts at a single 1,000 m spool in your size — a working boat that respools regularly is exactly who bulk spools are for. There is no dealer account and no container commitment.
Can I get the heavy tests I actually run — 50, 65, 80 lb — in bulk?
Yes, that is the point. High Grade X8 runs to 86 lb, Never Fade X8 to 100.8 lb, X12 to 135 lb and X16 to 254 lb in stock, all on bulk spools. Size-by-size tables are on the braided line page.
Is the pound test real?
Every batch is pull-tested on a calibrated bench before dispatch, and measured break runs 5–10% above the label rating. We do not inflate ratings to win a label comparison. Batch test data is available with your order on request.
How long to get it to Florida, Texas or the Carolinas?
In-stock sizes dispatch within 7 days; air freight to the US typically takes 7–12 days after that, express 3–5 days at higher cost. Shipping is DDP — duties are handled by us and included in the invoice, so nothing stops at customs waiting for you.
Do you spool reels?
No — we supply the bulk spool; you fill reels on the boat or through your local shop. Spool label can carry your boat or operation name, and we can print custom labels if you sell spooled reels or line to clients.
What about leader material?
Clear fluorocarbon is in stock from 3.8 to 40 lb; nylon mono to about 46 lb. Heavier leader material is made to order with its own minimum — tell us the size and we will confirm availability in writing.
How do I test it before I commit?
Ask for the free 150 m Pro Grade X8 sample spool — it ships from our US stock for business enquiries. Fish it on a paying trip, then decide.
