1. Who we are
BulkSpool is a custom bulk and private-label fishing line manufacturer based in Dongyang, Zhejiang, China, serving tackle shops, rig builders, charters and brands in the United States and worldwide. For any question about this policy, write to fiona@bulkfishingline.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote or a sample, contact us by email, WhatsApp or phone, or type into the AI assistant on this site, we receive what you choose to share: typically your name, company, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, and the specifications you are interested in (line type, diameter, pound test, quantity, label requirements).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement. They set cookies and collect your IP address (truncated), device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a quote button or downloading the spec sheet. We do not collect payment card numbers on this site; payments are handled off-site by the payment provider you choose at invoicing.
3. Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and prepare a written quote; to ship samples you request; to keep records of quotes and orders; to understand which pages and campaigns bring buyers to the site so we can improve it; and to measure Google Ads performance. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a business-to-business supply operation and, where required by law, on your consent.
4. The AI assistant on this site
The chat assistant answers questions about our products using a knowledge base we maintain. Messages you type are sent to an AI service provider to generate a reply and may be reviewed by our team so we can follow up on your enquiry. Do not enter passwords, payment details or other sensitive information into the chat. If you leave an email or WhatsApp number in the conversation, we will use it only to reply to that enquiry.
5. Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run the site and respond to you: website hosting, analytics and advertising measurement (Google), the AI service provider behind the assistant, email and messaging tools, and carriers that deliver samples and orders. Each receives only what it needs for its task. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.
6. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads cookies (for example _ga, _gid, _gcl_au) are used to measure traffic and conversions. You can block cookies in your browser settings, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or adjust ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. The site works without cookies; only measurement is affected.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiry and quote correspondence is kept for as long as we have a business relationship or an open enquiry, and for up to five years afterwards for accounting and dispute purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings. AI chat transcripts are kept for up to 12 months unless they become part of a quote or order record.
8. International transfers
We are located in China and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where this involves personal data of people in the EEA, UK or other regions with transfer rules, we rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email fiona@bulkfishingline.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is stored in access-controlled business tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to a B2B supply business.
11. Children
This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
