For Tackle Stores

The best margin in the store is on the bulk spool rack.

A customer who walks in for a fill asks for 30 lb braid, not for a brand. Selling line by the yard off bulk spools is the highest-margin line business a shop has — as long as the bulk spool itself is bought like a raw material, not like a retail box.

The tackle-store problem

Three things every counter that spools reels knows

Reselling the big names puts you in a price war with every online retailer. The fill service behind the counter is the part of the line business they cannot copy — if the spool on the rack is bought right.

Margin

Big-brand bulk leaves no room

Their bulk spool is priced off their retail box

Factory-direct bulk restores the margin on every fill
  • Dealer pricing on branded bulk is set to protect the retail spool, not your fill margin
  • Customers compare the shelf price to the internet — but nobody compares a fill
  • Every fill sold off a branded spool pays for someone else's marketing
Stock

The rack is never complete

The sizes that move fastest are the first to be out

Your sizes, made to be stocked
  • Big brands allocate bulk to the sizes that fill a catalogue, not the ones your counter turns over
  • When 20 lb and 30 lb are out, the fill customer leaves — and so does the terminal-tackle sale that came with it
  • Ordering through a distributor means waiting on their stock, not yours
Quality

A bad fill comes back to your counter

The customer remembers where the reel was spooled, not what brand was on it

Batch-tested, ±0.010 mm, rated strength held
  • Batch drift changes fill counts and how the line packs on the reel
  • Inflated pound-test ratings turn into break-offs — and returns
  • Coatings that shed dye mark your spooling machine and your customer's hands

How much line does your counter sell by the yard?

Move the sliders to your shop. The number that comes out is the volume we would quote as bulk spools.

Set the last slider to what you charge per yard for a fill. The result is the revenue your bulk rack produces in a year — the cost side is what we quote.

Stock the sizes your counter turns over

In-stock ranges below are the ones we hold; anything outside them is made to order with its own minimum. Full size-by-size tables are on each product page and in the spec sheet.

How it works

Three steps from your counter to a bulk spool on the rack

Step 1

Tell us what your counter sells

Sizes, colors, roughly how many fills a week. We ship a free sample spool from US stock so you can spool a few customers first.

Step 2

Get a written quote

Size, length and volume quoted direct and in writing. From one spool; mixed sizes on one order.

Step 3

Receive and reorder

In-stock sizes leave in 7 days, duty-paid to your door. Reorder the same spec and the rack stays consistent.

Straight answers

Questions tackle stores ask

What is the minimum order for a shop?
One bulk spool of 1,000 m in an in-stock size and color. No dealer account, no pallet, no container commitment.
Can I fill the whole rack on one order?
Yes. For in-stock line, sizes and colors can be combined within one order.
Can I put my shop's name on the spool?
Yes. The spool label can carry your requirements; we print custom adhesive logo labels and can design the label for you. If you want a house-brand retail spool on the shelf as well, private-label trial runs start at 100 pieces per SKU.
Is the pound test honest?
Every batch is pull-tested on a calibrated bench before dispatch; measured break runs 5–10% above the label rating. We do not inflate ratings, so a fill sold as 30 lb tests above 30 lb.
How is this different from the branded bulk my distributor sells?
It comes from the factory that makes it, from a single spool, in the sizes you choose, with batch test data available. Branded bulk is priced to protect the retail box and allocated to the sizes that fill a catalogue.
How long to get it?
In-stock sizes dispatch within 7 days; air freight to the US typically takes 7–12 days after that. Shipping is DDP — duties handled by us and included in the invoice.
How do I test it first?
Ask for the free 150 m Pro Grade X8 sample spool — it ships from our US stock for business enquiries. Spool a few customers' reels, then decide.
