Fluorocarbon · 100% PVDF

Premium fluorocarbon leader & mainline, factory direct

Genuine 100% PVDF fluorocarbon — not a coated fake. Near-invisible underwater, fast-sinking and abrasion resistant, drawn to a tight ±0.01mm tolerance and pull-tested on the same bench as our braid.

Specifications

Material, purity & performance

We run premium-grade, virgin 100% PVDF fluorocarbon only. It works as both rig / leader line and mainline.

Raw material & purity

MaterialPremium 100% PVDF fluorocarbon — virgin resin, high-end grade.
Purity≥ 99.5% virgin PVDF resin (premium grade).
Diameter toleranceWithin ±0.01mm — even diameter, no over-rated labeling.

Performance

Real breaking strengthTrue pull at each diameter — not an inflated label LB.
Knot-strength retention88–92%+ of straight-line strength after knotting (premium level).
Elongation at break15–25% (genuine 100% fluorocarbon).
Refractive index≈ 1.42 — close to water's 1.33, so it reads near-invisible underwater.
Density1.78 g/cm³ — fast sinking with strong water-cutting.

Durability & process

Water absorption< 0.04% — diameter, straight strength and knot strength hold after soaking.
Abrasion resistanceDense structure resists micro-cracks and hidden damage after rock contact.
Aging / UV resistanceSlow strength decay under sun and saltwater; long service life.
Extrusion & drawingMulti-stage precision drawing for even crystallization — clear body, low memory, soft rebound.
Why fluorocarbon

Five things fluorocarbon does best

01 · Visibility

Near-invisible underwater

A refractive index close to water's makes it far harder to see than nylon or braid — the number-one reason to fish fluoro on pressured, clear-water fish.

02 · Abrasion resistance

Superior abrasion resistance

Built for rocky and saltwater structure fishing. As a solid monofilament it holds strength through minor surface scuffs — ideal for pulling hard against structure.

03 · Density & sink rate

High density, fast sinking

Heavy and fast-cutting through the water, so the bait reaches the target depth quickly with less current drift than floating braid.

04 · Sensitivity & shock

Sensitive, with proper shock absorption

Low initial stretch for clear bite signal, plus enough give to cushion a big fish's burst — which is why it makes a great leader ahead of zero-stretch PE.

05 · Durability

Zero-absorption, UV & salt resistant

It barely takes on water, resists UV and saltwater, and holds up for a long service life — with low memory and none of the fuzzing a braid can show.

Sizes & diameters

Diameter reference

Clear and pink fluorocarbon for both leader and mainline builds. Diameters in mm; strength in LB and KG test. Pink is listed from 0.16 to 0.51 mm and clear from 0.15 to 0.60 mm; diameters outside these tables, including heavier leader, may be made to order with their own minimum — we confirm availability in writing.

Straight answers

Private-label fluorocarbon leader: what buyers ask

Do you make fluorocarbon leader under my own brand (OEM / private label)?
Yes. We make the 100% PVDF fluorocarbon on our own floor and pack it as leader under your brand. Private-label runs start at 100 pieces per SKU with your logo sticker or spool label; printed retail boxes are also possible from 100 pieces, with a one-time $200 print setup. Leader comes as a compact disc pack, wound on a clear display disc, or as a disc with a printed box. Photos are on the packaging page.
Is your pink fluorocarbon 100% fluorocarbon?
Yes. Clear and pink are our two standard finishes, and we run virgin 100% PVDF fluorocarbon only: purity ≥ 99.5%, not a coated imitation. Custom tints are available on request.
Which diameters do you list, and are they metric?
Every size in the tables above is listed by diameter in millimetres, with LB and KG test for each row. Pink is listed from 0.16 to 0.51 mm and clear from 0.15 to 0.60 mm. If a diameter you need is not a listed row, the nearest rows above and below it are in stock; the exact diameter, or anything heavier than the table, may be made to order with its own minimum. Send your list of diameters and we confirm availability in writing.
Can I get technical data per diameter, including knot strength?
Knot strength is published as a range-wide figure, 88–92%+ retention of straight-line strength, not per diameter. The tables above give each diameter in mm with LB and KG test, and the same tables are in the spec sheet PDF. Across the range: diameter tolerance ±0.01 mm, elongation at break 15–25%, refractive index ≈ 1.42, density 1.78 g/cm³ and water absorption under 0.04%. Every batch is pull-tested on a calibrated bench, and batch data is available with your order. We do not hold a lab report for every size; if you need one, we arrange third-party lab testing for that order.
What is the minimum per diameter?
For a size listed in the tables: one 1,000 m bulk spool in that diameter, or 100 pieces per SKU for a private-label run with your label. Sizes outside the tables may be made to order with their own minimum — we confirm availability and that minimum in writing with the quote.
What leader spool lengths can you wind?
Leader packs are sized by length and pound test, and the length for your order is fixed in the written quote. The examples on the packaging page include a 25-yard disc pack and a 50 m display disc. Tell us the length per spool, the diameters and the quantity per diameter, and we confirm the length and its minimum in writing.
How do I get a price per spool for each diameter?
We quote rather than publish a price list, because price depends on diameter, length, volume and packaging. Send the diameters, color, length per spool, quantity per diameter, packaging (label sticker or printed box) and delivery country, and we reply with a written per-unit quote. Prices are in US dollars unless the quote says otherwise, and a quote is valid for 30 days unless otherwise written.
Can I get a sample of the leader first?
Yes. Tell us the diameters and finish you want to evaluate and your delivery address. Samples ship from our factory in China.
How long does a private-label leader run take?
In-stock sizes dispatch within 7 days. Private-label and made-to-order runs are scheduled when we quote, so you have the date in writing before you commit.

Prove the fluoro before you commit

Genuine fluoro sinks fast, leaves no white crease when bent, and holds a wet knot under repeated pull tests. Ask for a sample and check it yourself, then quote your exact spec.
